Community Leadership: It's About How We Show Up

About a year ago, I came across a public notice from Howell Township that caught my attention immediately.

I shared my concerns with others, and soon I was invited to a neighborhood meeting. There, I partnered with fellow Howell residents to help bring nearly 1,000 people to a township meeting just nine days later.

That was the beginning of a movement.

I met SO many different people from across our community, and it was a beautiful thing to see us all working together.

We continued asking questions and advocating for transparency and accountability. I surveyed residents to better understand their concerns, reached out to experts in those specific areas, brought them to Howell, and organized a community information and action night.

I did that because I believe people deserve more than an opportunity to voice their concerns. They deserve access to reliable information, meaningful answers, and opportunities to participate in decisions that affect their community.

You may or may not agree with my position on this particular issue. That's okay.

This isn't about asking you to agree with me. It's about showing you how I approach issues that affect our community.

I listen. I ask questions. I do the research. I seek out reliable information, bring people and resources together, make room for different perspectives, and follow through.

Regardless of where we stand on an issue, we all deserve to be informed, heard, and included in the process.

You can expect that same commitment from me, now and always.

Protecting Howell. Asking questions. Fighting for what is right.
